Energy Efficiency

Parke County REMC offers rebates to commercial and residential customers for purchasing and installing qualifying energy efficient water heaters, air-source heat pumps, dual fuel heat pumps, and geothermal heat pumps. Rebates will be paid in the form of an on-bill credit. Some rebates may be paid over the course of several on-bill credits. All efficiency and equipment requirements stated on the program web site must be met in order to be eligible. Provide all requested purchase information. Rebates will be issued after the program agreement has been signed and appropriate forms have been provided. Parke County's wholesale provider, Wabash Valley Power Association, provides incentives for commercial and industrial customers as well. 

Otter Tail Power Company offers incentives to all of its customers to install energy efficient equipment in their homes or facilities. Rebates are available for high-efficiency electric heating technologies such as demand control equipment, hot water heaters and thermal storage technologies. Residential customers who install a Residential Demand Control unit on the RDC rate (Rate 241) are eligible for a $300 rebate. Receipts must be turned in with the program application in order to qualify for the rebate. 

Otter Tail Power Company offers incentives to commercial customers in South Dakota for installing energy efficient equipment in eligible facilities. Rebates are available for geothermal and air source heat pumps, lighting, and motors as well as multiple high-efficiency electric heating technologies, including hot water heaters and thermal storage technologies.

The Lighting Project provides rebates to commercial and industrial customers that purchase a variety of energy-efficient lighting technologies listed on the program web site. Rebates for most hard-wired systems are 20 cents per watt of demand reduction. Screw-in compact fluorescent and LED fixture rebates are calculated at 5 cents per watt of demand reduction. The Energy-Efficient Motor Rebate Project is designed to encourage customers to purchase higher-efficiency replacement motors. Motor rebates vary depending on motor size. A variety of performance based rebates are offered for electric water heating and thermal storage technologies. These rebates are based upon kW demand reduction. All installments must meet certain energy efficiency standards to qualify. Receipts must be turned in with the program application in order to qualify for the rebate.  

Otter Tail Power Company Rebate Program offers rebates to qualifying commercial, industrial, and agricultural customers for the installation of high-efficiency equipment upgrades. See the program web site for applicability and maximum amounts for certain technologies. Under Minnesota's Conservation Improvement Plan (CIP), Minnesota customers are eligible for additional rebates, including:

Orange County REMC offers incentives for members to improve the energy efficiency of homes, appliances and equipment. Rebates are available for water heaters, geothermal heat pumps, air-source heat pumps, central air conditioners, ETS systems, and CFL bulbs. The rebate amount depends on the size and efficiency of the equipment and the type of system that it is replacing. A free 40- to 50-gallon water heater is also available to customers with gas replacements or new construction. 

Oncor provides incentives to Service Providers who install approved energy efficiency measures in business, government, nonprofit, and worship facilities in Oncor's service area. Service providers can include energy service companies (ESCOs), energy consultants, contractors, individual customers, and retail electric providers. Generally, incentives are paid based on the kW and kWh saved and verified through a measurement and verification process. However, certain types of improvement projects have been assigned pre-determined "deemed savings" estimates by the Texas Public Utilities Commission (PUCT) and do not require verification. Currently, 17 types of cooling projects and nine types of lighting projects have deemed savings assigned and do not require measurement and verification if they are installed to the required specifications. Project sponsor incentives are capped at 20% of the incentive budget in a given budget year. 

Oklahoma Energy Cooperative (OEC) offers rebates to residential customers for the purchase of air-source heat pumps, geothermal heat pumps and water heaters. Air-source heat pumps are eligible for a $175 - $325/ton rebate and geothermal heat pumps are eligible for a rebate of between $400 and $700/ton. Customers who upgrade the efficiency of heat pump systems are eligible for a $225/ton rebate. In order to qualify for the rebate, the heat pump must be installed in a newly constructed home or apartment complex or in an existing residential structure that is converting from gas to electric or upgrading an existing electric system to at least 15 SEER.

OEC offers a $180 rebate for a new electric water heater installed in a newly constructed home, apartments, and other structure billed under OEC’s commercial or residential rate, or in existing structures, residential or commercial, converting from gas to electric water heating. The replacement of an existing electric water heater does not qualify for a rebate. 

Oklahoma Gas and Electric (OGE) offers lighting, HVAC, motor and other custom rebates to commercial customers in Arkansas to improve the energy efficiency of their facilities. The lighting rebate program is available to schools and commercial businesses in the OGE Arkansas service territory. OGE will provide a variety of rebates for energy efficient lighting upgrades to HID, incandescent, and T12 fixtures. Additionally, a standard offer incentive of $0.12/kWh in energy reduction is available for upgrades involving motors, HVAC systems, compressed air, and performance contracting. 

Ocala Utility Services Electric and Telecommunications is a community owned utility that serves around 50,000 customers in Ocala and Marion County area. Ocala Utility Services offers rebates on A/C and heat pumps, refrigerators and freezers, dishwashers, clothes washers, and insulation. Commercial customers are only eligible for insulation rebates. Ocala also has a rebate program for solar water heaters.

NYSEG offers a lighting incentive program designed to serve small business customers with demand than an average of 110 kilowatts (kw) per month. These small business customers may schedule a free energy assessment and then receive up to 70% off of the installed cost of recommended equipment upgrades. Small business customers must schedule a free energy assessment before any recommendations or incentives can be offered.
